YOUR GOALS

A new year is a new start that often presents a renewed motivation to create an “improved” version of ourselves. Whether it’s to be more healthy, lose weight, travel, achieve success at work, we all strive to be better. New Year’s resolutions are high on our priority list in January but often fall to the wayside by March. So, how can you make your resolutions stick? Here’s six ways to achieve your goals.

Set achievable goals

For example, if your goal is to exercise more, don’t aim to train seven days a week. Rather, start with three days a week. After a few months, once you’ve achieved this milestone, step it up a notch.

Track your progress daily

Spend 10 minutes at the start of every day reviewing your goals. Practice meditating, focus on your breathing and visualize what you want to achieve. This positive start to each day is a step closer to achieving your goal.

No one said it was going to be easy

“Fall down seven times, get up eight”. Success isn’t always achieved on your first try. If you stumble, don’t give up. Instead ask yourself “What worked? What didn’t? What can I do differently next time to achieve a better result?”

Work smart

An organised, effcient work space saves time, keeps you focused and will help achieve your goals. Bantex has a large variety of products to help create a super efficient space, that works.

Plan the year ahead

You can’t achieve your goals if you’re burnt out. Look ahead at your 2018 calendar and plan short breaks away from your usual routine. This will help you evaluate your current goals, and set new ones.

Reward yourself

Congratulate yourself when intermediate goals are achieved. Even if a small milestone is achieved, recognise your hard work, praise yourself, and take the next step forward.

Remember to take it one step at a time. Good luck!
